A Brief Overview of AUP Academy

Adventist University of the Philippines Academy (AUPA) is a private Christian institution owned and operated by a Christian non-profit organization. It was founded in 1917 and recognized by the government in 1933. It is open to youth who are in harmony with Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) ideals.

AUPA is accredited by the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA), Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) through the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities Accrediting Agency Inc. (ACSCU-AAI) with Level III Accreditation Status until December 2022 and Certified by the Education Services Contracting (ESC) of the Department of Education.

The Principal

 

Janeth V. Bacomo

 

JANETH V. BACOMO, a licensed professional teacher, has dedicated her career to education, both in teaching and administrative capacities. Beginning as a Mathematics teacher at Faith Adventist Academy in Taytay, Palawan, she played a pivotal role in its formative years. Her expertise extended to teaching mathematics at Manila Adventist College and Adventist University of the Philippines Academy.

With a nine-year teaching tenure, Janeth excelled not only in the classroom but also in administrative capacities. She served as principal for three years and as vice principal for two years at Faith Adventist Academy.

Holder of a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Education majoring in Mathematics Education, both from Adventist University of the Philippines, Janeth’s passion for mission, teaching, and school leadership, along with her commitment to supporting Adventist schools, drive her interest in research and scholarship.
